For the first guest of our Folk Fortnight, Northwich Folk Club is proud to present Archie  Fisher MBE.   Archie  is recognized as Scotland’s foremost folk troubadour  with a career spanning over  four  decades. His songs have been covered by  Fairport Convention  and John Renbourn,  and  he’s  appeared  as  a  guitarist  on  albums  by  Tom  Paxton  and  Tommy Makem  and Liam Clancy  among others.

Support by Merseyside singer songwriter Gerry ffrench, who performs on guitar, banjo and concertina. She describes her own style as Traditional/fusion before smiling enigmatically.

Northwich Folk Club has run continuously since 1977, with a mix of guests and singers nights, and a friendly atmosphere and broad outlook.

Every Friday, from 8:30 till just after 11, usually in the bar of the Harlequin Theatre, Northwich.
